Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen on SB 1070

I'm Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen. I want to explain SB 1070 which I voted for and was just signed by Governor Jan Brewer.

Rancher Rob Krantz was murdered by the drug cartel on his ranch a month ago. I participated in a senate hearing two weeks ago on the border violence, here is just some of the highlights from those who testified.

The people who live within 60 to 80 miles of the Arizona/Mexico Border have for years been terrorized and have pleaded for help to stop the daily invasion of humans who cross their property . One Rancher testified that 300 to 1200 people a DAY come across his ranch vandalizing his property, stealing his vehicles and property, cutting down his fences, and leaving trash. In the last two years he has found 17 dead bodies and two Koran bibles.

Another rancher testified that daily drugs are brought across his ranch in a military operation. A point man with a machine gun goes in front, 1/2 mile behind are the guards fully armed, 1/2 mile behind them are the drugs, behind the drugs 1/2 mile are more guards. These people are violent and they will kill anyone who gets in the way. This was not the only rancher we heard that day that talked about the drug trains.

One man told of two illegal's who came upon his property - one shot in the back and the other shot in the arm by the drug runners who had forced them to carry the drugs, and then shot them. Daily, they listen to gun fire during the night - it is not safe to leave his family alone on the ranch and they can't leave the ranch for fear of nothing being left when they come back.

The border patrol is not on the border. They have set up 60 miles away with check points that do nothing to stop the invasion. They are not allowed to use force in stopping anyone who is entering. They run around chasing them, if they get their hands on them then they can take them back across the border.

Federal prisons have over 35% illegal's, and 20% of Arizona prisons are filled with illegal's. In the last few years 80% of our law enforcement that have been killed or wounded have been by an illegal.

The majority of people coming now are people we need to be worried about. The ranchers told us that they have seen a change in the people coming - they are not just those who are looking for work and a better life.

The Federal Government has refused for years to do anything to help the border states. We have been over-run and once they are here we have the burden of funding state services that they use. Education costs have been over a billion dollars. The healthcare costs billions of dollars. Our State is broke, $3.5 billion deficit and we have many serious decisions to make. One is that we do not have the money to care for any who are not here legally. It has to stop.
The border can be secured. We have the technology - we have the ability to stop this invasion. We must know who is coming and they must come in an organized manner legally so that we can assimilate them into our population and protect the sovereignty of our country. We are a nation of laws. We have a responsibility to protect our citizens and to protect the integrity of our country and the government which we live under.

I would give amnesty today to many, but here is the problem, we dare not do this until the Border is secure. It will do no good to forgive them because thousands will come behind them and we will be over-run to the point that there will no longer be the United States of America, but a North American Union of open borders. I ask you what form of government will we live under? How long will it be before we will be just like Mexico, Canada or any of the other Central American or South American countries? We have already lost our language, everything must be printed in Spanish also. We have already lost our history, it is no longer taught in our schools. And we have lost our borders.

The leftist media has distorted what SB 1070 will do. It is not going to set up a Nazi Germany. Are you kidding. The ACLU and the leftist courts will do everything to protect those who are here illegally, but it was an effort to try and stop illegal's from setting up businesses, and employment, and receiving state services, and give the ability to local law enforcement when there is probable cause like a traffic stop to determine if they are here legally. Federal law is very clear - if you are here on a visa you must have your papers on you at all times. That is the law. In Arizona, all you need to show that you are a legal citizen is a driver license, MVD identification card, Native American Card, or a Military ID. This is what you need to vote, get a hunting license, etc.. So nothing new has been added to this law. No one is going to be stopped walking down the street etc... The Socialist who are in power in DC are angry because we dare try and do something and that something the Socialist wants us to do is just let them come. They want the "Transformation" to continue.

Maybe it is too late to save America. Maybe we are not worthy of freedom anymore. But as an elected official I must try to do what I can to protect our Constitutional Republic. Living in America is not a right just because you can walk across the border. Being an American is a responsibility, and it comes by respecting and upholding the Constitution - the law of our land which says what you must do to be a citizen of this country. Freedom is not free.

Mexicans here and in Mexico are rather upset by the recent enactment of stricter anti-illegal alien laws by Arizona's governor.

In light of the following, that position demonstrates the typical double standard used by race-hustlers and assorted something-for-nothings. Read on, and read it to the end.

Obama is Muslim

Here's one thought on the matter.

While in a Blockbuster renting videos I came across a video called "Obama".
There were two men standing next to me and we talked about President Obama.
These guys were Arabs, so I asked them why they thought Michele Obama headed
home following the President's recent visit to France instead of traveling
on to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband. They told me she could not
go to Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Iraq . I said "Why not,(?) Laura Bush went to
Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Dubai ." They said that Obama is a Muslim and
therefore he is not allowed to bring his wife into countries that adhere to
Sharia Law. Two points of interest here: 1) I thought it interesting that
two American Arabs at Blockbuster believe that our President is a Muslim, 2)
who follows a strict Islamic creed. They also said that's the reason he
bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. It was a signal to the Muslim world,
acknowledging his religion.

For further consideration, here is a response from Dr. Jim Murk, a Middle
Eastern Scholar and expert on Islam. This is his explanation of what the
Arab American's were saying.

"An orthodox Muslim man would never take his wife on a politically oriented
trip to any nation which practices Sharia law, particularly Saudi Arabia
where the Wahhabi sect is dominant. This is true and it is why Obama left
Michelle in Europe. She will stay home when he visits Arab countries. He
knows Muslim protocol; this includes, bowing to the Saudi King. Obama is
regarded as a Muslim in the Arab world, because he was born to a Muslim
father; he acknowledged his Muslim faith with George Stephanopoulus. Note
that he downplays his involvement with Christianity, by not publicly joining
a Christian church in D.C. and occasionally attending the chapel for
services at Camp David. He also played down the fact that America is a
Christian country and said, unbelievably, that it was one of the largest
Muslim nations in the world, which is nonsense. He has publicly taken the
side of the Palestinians in the conflict with Israel and he ignored the
National Day of Prayer, something no other President has ever done. He is
bad news! He conceals his true faith to the detriment of the American

Why has Barack Hussein Obama insisted that the U.S. Attorney General hold the trials of the 911 Muslim Terrorists in Civilian Courts as Common Criminals instead of as Terrorists who attacked the United States of America?
If the Muslim Terrorists are tried in Military Tribunals, convicted and sentenced to death, by LAW, Barack Hussein Obama, as President of the United States, would be required to sign their Death Warrants. He would not be required to sign the death warrants if they are sentenced to death by a Civilian Court.
Recently, Muslim Jihadist, Army Major Hassan slaughtered
non-Muslim, soldiers at Ft. Hood, Texas rather than go to Afghanistan and be a part of anything that could lead to the deaths of fellow Muslims.
He stated that Muslims 'could not and should not kill fellow Muslims.' Is the motive for Barack Hussein Obama's insistence on civilian trials, to make sure he doesn't have to sign the death warrants for the Muslim Terrorists? Why would he, as President of the United States, not sign the death warrants for Muslim Terrorists who attacked the United States and murdered over 3,000 U. S. Citizens on 9/11?
Could it be that he is FORBIDDEN
by his RELIGION to authorize the execution of Muslims?

In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do you know who has written two memoirs before the age of 45? There are some who think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a "communist with a small 'c'" was the real author.

And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a charisma that hid any real substance.

And then he had the great good fortune of having the Republicans select one of the most inept candidates for the presidency since Bob Dole. And then John McCain did something crazy. He picked Sarah Palin, an unknown female governor from the very distant state of Alaska . It was a ticket that was reminiscent of 1984's Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and they went down to defeat.

The mainstream political media fell in love with him. It was a schoolgirl crush with febrile commentators like Chris Mathews swooning then and now over the man. The venom directed against McCain and, in particular, Palin, was extraordinary.

Now, nearly a full year into his first term, all of those gilded years leading up to the White House have left him unprepared to be President. Left to his own instincts, he has a talent for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. It swiftly became a joke that he could not deliver even the briefest of statements without the ever-present Tele-Prompters.

Far worse, however, is his capacity to want to "wish away" some terrible realities, not the least of which is the Islamist intention to destroy America and enslave the West. Any student of history knows how swiftly Islam initially spread. It knocked on the doors of Europe, having gained a foothold in Spain .

The great crowds that greeted him at home or on his campaign "world tour" were no substitute for having even the slightest grasp of history and the reality of a world filled with really bad people with really bad intentions.

Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police officer who arrested an "obstreperous" Harvard professor-friend, but would warn Americans against "jumping to conclusions" about a mass murderer at Fort Hood who shouted "Allahu Akbar." He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber "an isolated extremist" only to have to admit a day or two later that he was part of an al Qaeda plot.

He is a man who could strive to close down our detention facility at Guantanamo even though those released were known to have returned to the battlefield against America . He could even instruct his Attorney General to afford the perpetrator of 9/11 a civil trial when no one else would ever even consider such an obscenity. And he is a man who could wait three days before having anything to say about the perpetrator of yet another terrorist attack on Americans and then have to elaborate on his remarks the following day because his first statement was so lame.

The pattern repeats itself. He either blames any problem on the Bush administration or he naively seeks to wish away the truth.

Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and manufactured this pathetic individual's life.

When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this man has spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. I can't believe this bill passed. As a news reporter just said, "We're watching the destruction of the US constitution."

I completely agree. I can't believe these morons are going to let this bill through. I want to run in there and scream!!!

"We will be joining those who established Social Security, Medicare and now, tonight, health care for all Americans," said Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., as the vote neared.

Does she not realize Social Security is bankrupt and won't be around in 20 years??? Does she not realize what a disaster Medicare is???

I'm just so frustrated and furious right now that no one has been listening to the American people...

I was just watching C Span and part of the Health Care debate. It is so frustrating to see that the government does not get simple math and simple common sense. No one seems to be able to look at plain numbers and say, "This won't work." They won't listen to the people, although they are supposed to. What are we going to have to do to get it through their heads that we don't want this????

The representative from Wisconsin was giving a great presentation and pointed out very simple numbers proving the health care plan was bogus and wouldn't work. He even pointed out that the plan says that women in their 40's do not NEED mammograms.

Very frustrating. I can't believe people can be duped into voting for this.

Gays showering with straights? Absolutely.If President Obama, congressional Democrats, and homosexual activists get their wish, your son or daughter may be forced to share military showers and barracks with active and open homosexuals who may very well view them with sexual interest.

The following letter read on Glenn Beck's show, is rapidly circulating around the country. Americans everywhere identify with this 53-year-old woman. She has given us a voice.

GLENN BECK: I got a letter from a woman in Arizona . She writes an open letter to our nation's leadership:

"I am a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. Instead, we are burdened with Congressional Dukes and Duchesses who think they know better than the citizens they are supposed to represent.
There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now.
You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would feel so horribly disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut-job am I? Well, these briefly are the views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This is not to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the STIMULUS bill. I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you No, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars. I want the circumvention of our constitutional checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution, and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There are many conflicting opinions and it is too soon for this radical legislation. Quit throwing our nation into politically-correct quicksand.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision that will burden me, my children, and grandchildren. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night without even reading it. Slow down! Fix only what is broken -- we have the best health care system in the world -- and test any new program in one or two states first.

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. More is not better! Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real [Constitutional] obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes -- how did they pull that one off? Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with any of our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs -- and that is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person! Why do you want me to hate my employers? And what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Every company must sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. (Have you ever ripped off a Band-Aid?) We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please stop trying to manipulate and appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.
Take a breath. Listen to the people. Slow down and get some input from nonpoliticians and experts on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed-reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not.
It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is needless urgency and recklessness in all of your recent spending of our tax dollars.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on bringing our concerns to Washington . Our president often knows all the right buzzwords like unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented.. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work, pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone... and we are now looking at you.
You have awakened us, the patriotic freedom spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office.
We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. Dear Mr. President:
During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ringtone.
While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as "Medicaid"! During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer.

You and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman's health care? I contend that our nation's "health care crisis" is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. Rather, it is the result of a "crisis of culture", a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. It is a culture based in the irresponsible credo that "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me".
Once you fix this "culture crisis" that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you'll be amazed at how quickly our nation's health care difficulties will disappear.

When Anita Dunn, White House Communications director said Mao Tse Tung
was her favorite philosopher and the person she turned to most for

well known socialist working on Cap and trade as the nations largest

When he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist
State, people finally woke up........ but it was too late.

Any one of these things, in and of themselves does not really matter.
But.... when you add them up one by one you get a phenomenal score that
points to the fact that our Obama is determined to make America over
into a Marxist/Socialist society. All of the items in the preceding
paragraphs have been put into place. All can be documented very easily.

If you are an Obama Supporter, please do not be angry with me because I
think your president is a socialist but there are too many facts
supporting this. If you seek the truth you will be richer for it. Don't
just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth. I did. Democrats,
Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalist, Libertarians and what have
you, we all need to pull together. We all must pull together or watch
the demise of a society that we all love and cherish. If you are a
religious person, pray for our nation.

Never before in the history of America have we been confronted with
problems so huge that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy.
Don't rely on most television news and what you read in the newspapers
for the truth. Search the internet. Yes, there is a lot of bad
information, lies and distortions there too but you are smart enough to
spot the fallacies. Newspapers are a dying breed. They are currently
seeking a bailout from the government. Do you really think they are
about to print the truth? Obama praises all the television news networks
except Fox who he has waged war against. There must be a reason. He does
not call them down on any specifics, just a general battle against them.
If they lie, he should call them out on it but he doesn't. Please, find
the truth, it will set you free.

Our biggest enemy is not China, Russia, Iran; no, our biggest enemy is a
contingent of politicians in Washington DC.

Obama's Cabinet

Watching Obama put his cabinet together was like watching a 6 year old team captain pick their own team members, ever see that? They pick their friends and the kid who says something like, "pick me and I'll share my lunch." They don' pick the kids that actually know how to play and actually have experience.

I guess that's what happens when you vote for someone who has absolutely no credibility.

A Broken Mailbox Article

A nice warm blanket and a cold cup of bitterness

So the HOA said that I had to fix the mailbox or face more nasty letters and demeaning columns in the neighborhood newsletter. I grabbed an 80-pound bag of quick dry cement, flipped over - at least a little ways- the mailbox and dumped all the cement in the supporting column. Now it is an indestructible receptor of bills! Which will eventually go away as I fully expect to have to turn everything over to Feds in the near future.
Recently, I was thinking that no federal agents descended on my house to fix my broken mailbox. Then I was glad, because the repairs would have been a pink, fluffy mailbox with a rainbow column to represent all the diverse polar bears that have felt like outcast because evolution forced them to live in a frozen waste land rather than in our beautiful national parks like the smart grizzlies! And so in the quiet of the evening I turn on speeches by Patton and R. Regan to remember that once there were leaders that had common sense enough to hunt polar bears rather than be hunted.
So this lighted my mind to were we are today with leadership, and how we got there. After the greatest generation finished kicking the crap out of European socialist and commies they came home in 1945. Twenty years later their kids, forgetting what their fathers did for them, exercised their protected rights to protest against the power that secured those rights for them. And just to make it legitimate, they used vast quantities of drugs and read Marx, and got PhD's from ivy leagues in difficult subjects like how do you feel about being suppressed in the most open, and free society ever in the history of man?
Conclusion: "Ohhh man, it sucks, like...it bites...and and and ...fur sur, the man is keeping me down, like I want to work..." "Harvard calls this conclusion a miraculous piece of humanistic insight to the imperialistic behavior of American military might!"
Twenty years later, 1985, the great Regan is in power but what of the offspring of commie loving hippies? They morphed into newscasters and liberals, they never had the paternal love that human nature craves in its infancy, so now they think that everyone wants a security blanket; after all, it helped them cope with drugged out commie professor parents. So they began to paint a dramatic picture of the lone man sleeping under newspapers in a concrete jungle where a well-dressed family eats food stolen by a heartless system built up by cold men in board meetings. So they start to promote the softness of security blanket social change. Don't say used car, say pre-owned. Don't say that free market provides the best medical in the world, say 30 million are now uninsured, a heart beat away from financial ruin. Look at those greedy insurance companies enjoying dinner, look at that lone man with no security blanket. Like sheep, we follow, lead by emotional mobs of unloved adults. We signed away our mortgages in the name of bank bailouts, we sign away our health in the name of social justice, we sign away our memory of countless fallen heroes of long wars in the name of hope and change.

Sheriff Gets Harassed by Feds for Arresting Illegals

Finally someone will actually treat the USA with respect!

A sheriff has decided enough is enough and has been arresting illegal immigrants at the drop of a hat. If someone who fits the description of an illegal immigrant commits a minor traffic violation, cops are pulling them over and sending them packing. Apparently the Feds are not OK with that and have said he's not allowed to seek them out specifically. Lame!!! He's doing a fabulous job! I am so proud of this guy-seriously it takes some guts to do what he is doing and I applaud him for it. The fewer illegals we have the better, I say.

Man, nothing made me more furious the other night than watching the woman in front of me who was wearing really nice clothing using a "Lone Star" (welfare) card to pay for the crap she was buying at Wal Mart. She barely spoke English. I had to go to another line I was so angry. What gives people the right to show up over here and mooch off hard working citizens??? I'm sick of it. They're a drain on society and I want them back in their own country... if they want to take the time to become a legitimate citizen, they can stay. If not, they better go. In fact, they shouldn't be allowed to stay here at all unless they're currently a citizen. I wish we had more sheriffs that could stand up for what is right. And I wish we could send them to Washington to clean house as well.

I've been reading Glenn Beck's "Common Sense" book. I can't put it down, but I don't want to read it so fast I don't have time to absorb each chapter individually. In one of the chapters he talks about taxes, and how the government shouldn't be able to use it as a weapon to the people. If someone does something they don't like, they simply start threatening audits and tax crap. Glenn Beck says, "It's time we take away the ability of the Congress to bribe or punish companies by using the tax code. If a company breaks the law, use the criminal code, not the tax code, to punish them." He continues to point out that the "tax code has never really been about raising revenue as much as it is about punishing opponents, helping friends, or as President Obama says, instituting a system of 'fairness'." For an example he says to consider the following:

The US House of Representatives used its power to target a group of AIG insurance executives who collected a bonus they were contractually and legally allowed to receive by passing a bill that would have imposed an almost 90% retroactive tax on their bonus money;
New York state attorney general Andrew Cuomo threatened to reveal the names of AIG employees who were paid a contractual bonus and wouldn't voluntarily return that money;

GM was required to fire its CEO as a prerequisite to receiving any additional federal bailout money even though the CEO didn't engage in any criminal or corporate malfeasance;
Banking executives were threatened to accept government bailout funds or risk increased scrutiny and audits;
Government officials are seeking authority to seize and company the could pose-in their sole opinion-a "systemic" economic risk;
The sacrosanct "secret ballot" is under assault by union leaders who feel it's more important to get new members than protect free elections;
The government has suggested it will force states to accept the federal stimulus money even if they don't want it;
The state of Connecticut has considered legislation that would retroactively raise the state income tax on high wage earners;
The rich are being vilified and targeted because they are rich. (Class warfare is always politically popular, but common sense tells us that people won't work if they can't keep what they earn. It also tells us that what starts as the government taking on the "rich" always trickles down-remember, in 1913 the income tax was applied to only the wealthiest 1 percent.);
Executives at AIG, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac are all on the federal dole and have received billions in corporate welfare. Executives at all companies received bonuses, but while AIG executives were targeted by Congress and unions, executives at Fannie and Freddi received scant attention due to their ties to government.

It's time for these abuses to stop! "Wake up, America! You have bought into the lie that capitalism is only about money, corporations, greedy businessmen, and corrupt politicians who cut backroom deals. Capitalism isn't about money, it's about freedom-the freedom to try and fail that made the United States the richest industrial nation in the world by 1905 and the freedom that has kept us there ever since."

Frustration

Sometimes it feels so overwhelming trying to keep up with all the crap that is going on in politics. When you finally feel like you're starting to see the whole big picture and can keep up with the treason, something new pops up. And every time I hear something new, I feel so ignorant for not having seen it or caught it sooner.

Like Al Gore's speech during BO's inauguration. I was so upset with BO's original speech to the school kids, yet Gore was able to sneak stuff into his speech this last January. Speaking to a bunch of 13-17 year old honor students, Gore said "Look, there's a lot of things you understand instinctively but your parents don't because they're just too trapped in old thinking."

Gore is referring to his stupid environmentalist agenda he's constantly pushing. He compared today's environmental issues to the 1960's issues of race, as if they're somehow the same thing or even closely related. People are NOT trapped into "old thinking." They're just remembering how poorly the government takes care of things, and they're not fooled by his claims that the world is melting. So where does Gore get off bad mouthing the parents of these kids who obviously are bright students and probably so because of their parents? Maybe he was just ignored with a shrug of shoulders and saying, "Eh, it's Gore. What does he know?"

Obama to Put Abortion Clinics in Public Schools

There are many reasons to oppose President Obama's push to take over the nation's health care system, but among the most important is this one: his plan will put Planned Parenthood clinics inside your child's school.Yes, you read that right. Under an innocuous-sounding section titled "School-Based Health Clinics,"

H.R. 3200 will authorize Planned Parenthood, as a "sponsoring facility," to run a clinic during school hours on the grounds of public schools, with absolutely no accountability either to parents or school administrators.

Clinics would be accountable only to the Secretary of Health & Human Services, the radically pro-abortion Kathleen Sebelius, who was a fervent supporter of late-term abortionist George Tiller.

All this will be done at taxpayer expense. And unlike the rest of the bill, which isn't slated to go into effect until 2013, these clinics are scheduled to go into schools next fall.
As you know, Planned Parenthood is the nation's largest abortion provider and the most dangerous purveyor of the mythical "safe sex" message which has deprived so many American teens of their sexual innocence and left them with diseases and unwanted pregnancies.

Obama spends 3 billion to save 350 Million

Here's a great little tidbit on Obama's fuzzy math that was sent to me:

• A vehicle at 15 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses about 800 gallons of gas a year.

• A vehicle at 25 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses about 480 gallons a year

.• So, the average clunker transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.

• They claim 700,000 vehicles – so that’s about 224 million gallons/year.

• That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil

.• 5 million barrels of oil is about ¼ of one day’s U.S. consumption.

• And, 5 million barrels of oil costs about $350 million dollars at $75/bbl.

• So, we all contributed to spending $3 billion to save $350 million, which means over 8 years to get back even.

The President Without A Country

Thinking about these and other statements made by the man who wears the title of president. I keep wondering what country he believes he's president of.

In one of my very favorite stories, Edward Everett Hale's "The Man without a Country," a young Army lieutenant named Philip Nolan stands condemned for treason during the Revolutionary War, having come under the influence of Aaron Burr. When the judge asks him if he wishes to say anything before sentence is passed, young Nolan defiantly exclaims, "Damn the United States ! I wish I might never hear of the United States again!" The stunned silence in the courtroom is palpable, pulsing. After a long pause, the judge soberly says to the angry lieutenant: "You have just pronounced your own sentence. You will never hear of the United States again.. I sentence you to spend the rest of your life at sea, on one or another of this country's naval vessels - under strict orders that no one will ever speak to you again about the country you have just cursed."

And so it was. Philip Nolan was taken away and spent the next 40 years at sea, never hearing anything but an occasional slip of the tongue about America.. The last few pages of the story, recounting Nolan's dying hours in his small stateroom - now turned into a shrine to the country he fore swore - never fail to bring me to tears. And I find my own love for this dream, this miracle called America , refreshed and renewed. I know how blessed and unique we are. But reading and hearing the audacious, shocking statements of the man who was recently elected our president - a young black man living the impossible dream of millions of young Americans, past and present, black and white - I want to ask him,

"Just what country do you think you're president of?"

You surely can't be referring to the United States of America , can you? America is emphatically a Christian nation, and has been from its inception! Seventy percent of her citizens identify themselves as Christian. The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution were framed, written and ratified by Christians. It's because this was, and is, a nation built on and guided by Judeo-Christian biblical principles that you, sir, have had the inestimable privilege of being elected her president. You studied law at Harvard, didn't you, sir? You taught constitutional law in Chicago ? Did you not ever read the statement of John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and an author of the landmark "Federalist Papers": "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers - and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation - to select and prefer Christians for their rulers"? In your studies, you surely must have read the decision of the Supreme Court in 1892: "Our lives and our institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise; and in this sense and to this extent our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian." Did your professors have you skip over all the high-court decisions right up till the mid 1900's that echoed and reinforced these views and intentions? Did you pick up the history of American jurisprudence only in 1947, when for the first time a phrase coined by Thomas Jefferson about a "wall of separation between church and state" was used to deny some specific religious expression - contrary to Jefferson' s intent with that statement? Or, wait a minute . were your ideas about America 's Christianity formed during the 20 years you were a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ under your pastor, Jeremiah Wright? Is that where you got the idea that " America is no longer a Christian nation"? Is this where you, even as you came to call yourself a Christian, formed the belief that " America has been arrogant"? Even if that's the understandable explanation of your damning of your country and accusing the whole nation (not just a few military officials trying their best to keep more Americans from being murdered by jihadists) of "not always living up to her ideals," how did you come up with the ridiculous, alarming notion that we might be "considered a Muslim nation"? Is it because there are some 2 million or more Muslims living here, trying to be good Americans? Out of a current population of over 300 million, 70 percent of whom are Christians? Does that make us , by any rational definition, a "Muslim nation"? Why are we not, then, a "Chinese nation"? A "Korean nation"? Even a "Vietnamese nation"? There are even more of these distinct groups in America than Muslims. And if the distinction you're trying to make is a religious one, why is America not "a Jewish nation"? There's actually a case to be made for the latter, because our Constitution - and the success of our Revolution and founding - owe a deep debt to our Jewish brothers. Have you stopped to think what an actual Muslim America would be like? Have you ever really spent much time in Iran? Even in Egypt? You, having been instructed in Islam as a kid at a Muslim school in Indonesia and saying you still love the call to evening prayers, can surely picture our nation founded on the Quran, not the Judeo-Christian Bible, and living under Shariah law. Can't you? You do recall Muhammad's directives [Surah 9:5,73] to "break the cross" and "kill the infidel"? It seems increasingly and painfully obvious that you are more influenced by your upbringing and questionable education than most suspected. If you consider yourself the president of a people who are "no longer Christian," who have "failed to live up to our ideals," who "have been arrogant," and might even be "considered Muslim" - you are president of a country most Americans don't recognize. Could it be you are a president without a country?

In the process of finding a “tax code” the ACORN Accountant advised them not to file taxes if they wanted to get around paying them. The tax code they found was one of an “entertainer”. Soon thereafter, the boyfriend states that they want to bring up some very young girls from El Salvador to “learn” how to do what he and his girlfriend did, which was very clearly admitted to be prostitution. These girls were going to be illegal aliens as the tape shows. The ACORN representative even suggested that they could claim at lease some of them as dependants and get a child credit for them. The ACORN Rep not only does not blink, but says that they won’t have problems with the feds.Not only is all of the above blatantly illegal, it’s immoral on a level that is almost unbelievable. But apparently it is all OK with ACORN. Obama refuses to listen to the millions of Americans who oppose his plan. He is ignoring the very people he is supposed to be serving.

School Address

Intentions are an anticipated outcome that guides your planned actions. If were to judge someone based on their original intentions it would be a safe bet that you would be seeing their real character. Their real, raw character. And those original intentions would be what they would follow and turn into real actions, unless of course they're so offensive they have to change them to please other people.

It seems that this is a current theme for our current presidency. It seems like his first and real intentions are always rejected by the public. He intends to do a lot of things he deems as "good" for America, but once the people catch wind of his intentions and throw a fit he has to come up with a new idea. He's done this throughout the presidency, but today I'm talking about the original video he was going to show school children. That video had intentions of familiarizing children with phrases like, "I pledge to serve the President." Fortunately, that video is not going to be shown anymore, as originally intended. They've had to change their original course of action, again.

For those that support the content of the video and can't believe true Americans would want their children watching it, here's a quick lesson.

We are free citizens. We don't "serve" the president. He serves us. He is our public servant. We pay his paycheck. We vote him in. If he does too many wrong things, we vote him out. That goes the same for all government workers. We don't serve the police, the fire department or the IRS. They're here for US.

Judging by the president's original intentions on that video and those who helped make it, either he is ignorant regarding what his job as a public servant is, or he is intentionally demanding that the American people serve him. Either way you look at it he's wrong.

This last week at work we've all been discussing the issues with the president talking to the kids at school. I've never known a president to have such problems. Perhaps because his original intentions were to have the children pledge their allegiance to him. Hmmm. Anyway, I love the Magnolia school district. They wouldn't even show the address until I think today. They wanted a chance to review it before they would let the kids see it. That's right-way to go Magnolia! Not only that, but if you still don't want your child to watch the video they will have a separate room for them to hang out in.

Anyway, the speech wasn't as bad as all that. I read it with some co-workers this morning. In fact, it wasn't too bad. He did bring in a dose of harsh reality that is appropriate for some stupid high school kids out there:

"I know that sometimes, you get the sense from TV that you can be rich and successful without any hard work -- that your ticket to success is through rapping or basketball or being a reality TV star, when chances are, you’re not going to be any of those things."

However, it might be a little harsh to the pre-k kid who still wants to be a dinosaur when they grow up. I think they should still be given a little time to dream.

Obamacare to Cover Abortions

"The Capps Amendment, passed by Democrats in the Energy and Commerce Committee at the end of July, specifically says that the "public health insurance option shall provide coverage for (abortion) services," and directs the "Commissioner" to "assure" that every American will have access "to at least one ... plan that provides coverage of (abortion) services."

Having an abortion is not a "right." It takes away the right of another human being to live. It's horrible. It's terrible.

I'm still shocked at the amount of Christians (especially those who share my faith) that voted for this guy. It's like they didn't do their research or something.

It's Almost Too Much

Most nights at 11pm I can be found watching the Factor, Glenn Beck, or Colbert report. I catch up on all the latest issues, and then try to go to bed so mad I can't see straight. It's too infuriating to see what Barack and his horrid cabinet are doing to our wonderful country. I feel like I can't even try to post about all the things that he is doing because every day there is a new issue coming up.

Last night I was talking to another young couple. They're in a hurry to take advantage of the new $8,000 cash back from the government for new home buyers. I'm tempted to take advantage of that offer too. I know I will for sure be taking advantage of the $4500 rebate for trading in your old clunker car. I feel so guilty though. That money is part of his stimulus package that is going to screw my kids and grand kids. But there is the thought that if the money is there I might as well take advantage of it, right? ... but that's the very problem. He knows he can get away with this crap because once people see all these wonderful rebates they're going to get they take advantage of it. But little do we realize that the $4500 he "gives" us now is going to cost us thousands upon thousands in the next few years.

Health Care is going to screw us in the long run. Look at what happens in Europe and Canada because of their socialized medicine. Look at how the VA program is being run-anyone who knows anything understands what a mess that system is. And didn't one of those dumb eastern states try state wide medical care? And in just 7 short months they've gone millions of dollars over budget and predict they will be bankrupt before long. Why aren't people seeing that it doesn't work? Because they're blinded by the immediate result-they'll have free health care right now. They don't care what will happen to it in 10 years, they just want it free and they want it now.

All I can say right now is that we really need to be on top of the issues, and not just by sitting in front of our televisions complaining about them to whoever is in the same room. We need to join groups, be proactive about letting our voices be heard. I personally have joined a couple groups and am intent on helping make sure that America isn't in a worse situation for our children. I would expect every responsible American to do the same-we can't just give up and let these issues take over.

I attended The Woodlands Tea Party on April 15. I went because I oppose the governments ridiculous greedy hand trying to take over every part of anything that it can. I oppose BO's outrageous "Recovery Act" that he passed. I went because I think taxing the people nearly half of what they make is absurd. I went because I support the constitution and our rights as American citizens to not be overly burdened by a selfish, tax-crazy government. Our Founding
Fathers had the original tea party and blew off people's heads because someone taxed their breakfast beverage (up to 3%) too much. Right now I pay 8.25% sales tax on almost everything I buy, on top of my other taxes!

So what was very upsetting about the Tax Day Tea Parties? A couple days before when BO was asked about what he thought about the Tea Parties, he acted like he hadn't heard anything about them. That is disturbing because the very people he is ignoring are the very people he is supposed to be representing. It's becoming more and more clear that his agenda is what he is after-not the people's.

After the Tea Parties BO said, "Those of you who are watching certain news channels, on which I'm not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we're gonna stabilize Social Security. Let's not play games and pretend that the reason is because of the Recovery Act, because that's just a fraction of the overall problem that we've got.* We are going to have to tighten our belts, but we're going to have to do it in an intelligent way, and we gotta make sure that the people who are helped are working American families and we're not suddenly saying that the -- the way to do this is to eliminate programs that help ordinary people and give more tax cuts to the wealthy. We tried that formula for eight years. It did not work, and I don't intend to go back to it."

*Did he just admit that the Recovery Act is a problem? The Tea Parties weren't about Social Security, and no one was pretending they were about the Recovery Act, that IS what they were about!

So why is he ignoring us and what can/should we do? He is ignoring us because he has his own agenda to worry about. And what should we do about it? Get involved! Speak to neighbors, get your voice heard. Find out who is running for offices, contact them before the elections and let them know what you want done. Pay closer attention to who we vote in. We should write our senators and other representatives. Do something, do anything that is proactive. We can no longer afford to be apathetic towards what is happening, it is not going to affect just us but our children. Let's leave America a little better than we found it.

I'm very irritated that classified secrets have been given to our enemies by the current administration. Why would you do that? Just thinking of my own job as a substitute, that is extremely harmful to our country. I would never walk into a class of 7th graders after the school's principal had announced that referrals would no longer be written. They might as well tell the kids to do whatever they want because there is no form of punishment, except the possibility of having to get sent to the hall. Which would be fine with them, the hall is air conditioned, quiet and close to their lockers and has no immediate supervision. Sometimes unpleasant tactics are required, especially when dealing with murderous criminals. Swine Flu

Mexico has had a recent outbreak of the swine flu. They are guessing somewhere around 60 people are dead in Mexico, and possibly 8 sick in the USA. Besides it being some mutated virus from our pork friends, the creepy part is that it attacks and kills healthy people around the ages of 25-45. Thank goodness I'm only 24.

I am hoping that this will not spread, but perhaps our genius president should shut the borders down just for a bit. Granted, we should hope that people would just be a little more responsible and choose to not visit those places until this is under control, but we all know that's probably giving everyone a little too much credit.

I live in a very southern city in Texas and I'm not too keen on the idea of getting the pig flu. Granted, most of it has been towards Mexico City but hey-that's too close for me. What would we do if there was an outbreak here? I doubt we have enough vaccines for the millions of people who live in South Texas. I'm not suggesting that we all freak out, I've never worried about bird flu or mad cow disease before, but hey you can't be too cautious. So if you see me sporting a nifty face mask and toting around a bucket of anti-bacterial hand sanitizer, think nothing of it.

In what world are we not a Christian nation? Research shows that a significant proportion of the United States is Christian, the minorities being every other non-Christian religion. President Obama's glib assertion that his reduction in tax deductions will not reduce donations is absurd. His pathetic defense at his press conference - that he would still give a $100 dollar check to charity even if he only got $11 less of tax deduction from it was both disingenuous and beside the point.
And his comment that his reduced deduction would only impact one or two percent of the nation misses the point that it is these folks who are doing almost half of the donating.
In 2006, the most recent year for which data is available, four million taxpayers had adjusted gross incomes of $200,000 or more. They comprised 3% of the tax returns, made 31% of the income, but donated 44% of all charitable contributions. Together, they provided charity with $81 billion in that year.
Obama's plan will cost them $10 billion in extra taxes on the income they allocated to charitable donations. How can the president be so glibly certain that they will not curtail their charitable contributions by a like amount or even more?
Imagine all the harm Obama's program will cause. Churches will be hit most hard. They account for the largest share of charitable donations, but universities, disease research, hospitals, soup kitchens, and cultural institutions will also be hard hit. So will international relief efforts that funnel aid abroad through churches or directly.
It is totally dishonest for Obama to pretend that his curtailment of these deductions won't hurt the poor. It will most directly impact them since most of the charities Obama is hurting focus on helping the impoverished.
This proposal is not about saving money. It is about controlling it. By, in effect, transferring at least $11 billion a year from private philanthropy to government spending, Obama empowers the public sector at the expense of the voluntary one.
President Obama's recommended reduction in the tax deduction for charitable giving reflects his fundamental belief that only the government can or should help the poor. He wants to keep the impoverished directly dependent on the government - and the Democratic Party - for their daily bread.
The voluntary sector has always been the backbone of compassion in the United States. Our charitable donations dwarf those of any other country. And our system of tax deductions for giving permits us to decide what charities are worthy of our generosity - a decision Obama will transfer to the politicians under his program.

I want to know why Hillary Clinton is in Mexico right now telling police there that "this is partly our fault."

A shooting spree in Alabama that left 11 dead is the subject of my concern. While it was awful that 11 people were murdered-it is awful that 22 Army guys patrolled the streets!

I understand that it was a tiny town that didn't have enough police force to do what needed to be done, but it is a violation of our constitutional rights to have the Army in Civilian affairs. The Governor of the state didn't even know that the Army had been called in, the Army wasn't sure who issued the orders... what a mess!!!

Even during the Katrina problem in New Orleans the military wasn't sent in to babysit the city until the Governor gave permission to President Bush-four days later!

Mr. BO is planning on charging our Veterans for wounds received while serving in the military! How low is he going to go? "Yes, we are going to send you out to possibly get killed! And, by the way-we're changing it so that YOU have to pay for the wounds you get, if you don't die."

Apparently they are running out of money in the military and Mr. BO is going to try and save money by cutting down on the insurance costs for the very people who are out helping protect our freedoms.

Here's a thought, Mr. Obama. If you need more money, STOP SPENDING IT!!!

(Gotta love the honesty in this cartoon from Gamespot!) We all know that the Federal deficit is out of control, especially since Obama just dumped 787 BILLION more dollars into the hole. But hey-he realizes his mistake!!! His new goal??

"We will cut the deficit in half by the end of the president's first term."

"To get there, Obama proposes to cut spending and raise taxes. Reducing the deficit, he said, is critical: "We can't generate sustained growth without getting our deficits under control." Yesterday in his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama said he is raise determined to "get exploding deficits under control" (like the 787 billion in Porkus spending!) and said his budget request is "sober in its assessments, honest in its accounting, and lays out in detail my strategy for investing in what we need, cutting what we don't, and restoring fiscal discipline."

Sober? Seriously??? How were these decisions sober at all???
Honest?? His accountants and half the people he wants in the White House COMMITTED TAX FRAUD!
Detailed? Uh-wasn't his plan to spend almost a trillion dollars a mere 3 pages? I wrote book reports that were longer than that in the fifth grade!!!

So there you go folks, who would've thought Obama was going to raise our taxes to pay for the stimulus? ... duh!

How the Stimulus Will Work

A simple example titled "3 CONTRACTORS in DC"

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House. One is from Chicago, another is from Tennessee, and the third is from Minnesota. All three go with a White House official to examine the fence.

The Minnesota contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring,then works some figures with a pencil. "Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me."
The Tennessee contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me."
The Chicago contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700."
The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?"The Chicago contractor whispers back, "$1000 for me, $1000 for you,and we hire the guy from Tennessee to fix the fence."

"Done!" replies the government official.

And that, my friends, is how the new stimulus plan will work.

Nancy Pelosi=Baby Hater (Pope Agrees)

House Squeaker Nancy Pelosi tried to paint her visit this week with Pope Benedict as a meeting of the minds, but his holiness just wasn't havin' it. Pelosi's taxpayer-funded boondoggle, hatched to clear the air with those pesky pro-life Catholics, included a demand for a one on one with the pontiff. Her office press statement of the visit tells one story:

"It is with great joy that my husband, Paul, and I met with His Holiness, Pope
Benedict XVI, today. In our conversation, I had the opportunity to praise the
Church’s leadership in fighting poverty, hunger, and global warming, as well as
the Holy Father’s dedication to religious freedom and his upcoming trip and
message to Israel. I was proud to show His Holiness a photograph of my family’s
papal visit in the 1950s, as well as a recent picture of our children and
grandchildren."

Charming, right? But the statement from the Holy See paints an entirely different picture about the Pope's view of Pelosi wanting to kill more babies. Say what you want about the guy's hat, but he didn't play patsy to Nancy.

I have never sat down and thought, "Gee, I'd love to watch C-SPAN tonight. It looks interesting!" But as I was flipping through channels they were having their press conference on what they had discussed with Mr. Obamanation that day. Apparently he was thoroughly surprised that not everyone agreed that he should be spending a trillion dollars in his first week in the white house. Several comments made by some of those who were there sounded like:

"Mr. Bush spent six years planning what they were going to spend on war efforts, we brought it before the senate and spent more time refining the plan before we had everyone agree. Mr. Obama has spent two weeks on this plan."

"He is spending money we don't have for things that we don't need, all for political purposes."

"Two thirds of jobs in America come from small business, and the democrats plan will NOT help any of those businesses."

"We won't help them any by making them less effective managing their own budget."

So just where IS some of this money going? Well, they're going to give away $50 million to the ARTS! Don't get me wrong, I love the art, I even paint/draw myself but come on! In an economic crisis that should NOT be getting federal funding. Here are some more silly examples of where this money is going (thank you, AFA!):

$20 million "for the removal of small- to medium-sized fish passage barriers." (Pg. 45 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "20,000,000 for the removal of small- to medium-sized fish passage barriers)
$400 million for STD prevention (Pg. 60 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "CDC estimates that a proximately 19 million new STD infections occur annually in the United States ...The Committee has included $400,000,000 for testing and prevention of these conditions.") (how about STOP SLEEPING AROUND, TRAMPS!)
$25 million to rehabilitate off-roading (ATV) trails (Pg. 45 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "$25,000,000 is for recreation maintenance, especially for rehabilitation of off-road vehicle routes, and $20,000,000 is for trail maintenance and restoration")
$34 million to remodel the Department of Commerce HQ (Pg. 15 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: $34,000,000 for the Department of Commerce renovation and modernization")
$70 million to "Support Supercomputing Activities" for climate research (Pgs. 14-15 of Senate Appropriations Committee Report: $70,000,000 is directed to specifically support supercomputing activities, especially as they relate to climate research)
$150 million for honey bee insurance (Pg. 102 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "The Secretary shall use up to $ 50,000,000 per year, and $150,000,000 in the case of 2009, from the Trust Fund to provide emergency relief to eligible producers of livestock, honey bees, and farm-raised fish to aid in the reduction of losses due to disease, adverse weather, or other conditions, such as blizzards and wildfires, as determined by the Secretary")

Wow. And this plan will not be paid for with our tax dollars or our kids tax dollars. Our GRAND children will be paying for this mistake, and it will cost them about $3,333 each!

"H.R. 1 is the largest pork barrel spending bill in the history of our country. President Obama has said this bill will create four million new jobs. President Obama is under the impression that we can spend our way out of debt!

That's like thinking an alcoholic can drink his way to sobriety!"

All throughout the nominations for president and the election last year I was horrified as America was allowing Obama to run for office. I thought for sure people would see right through his crap and not elect him. Unfortunately, America was blinded by the media and their own ignorance and somehow he's in office.

So, I am going to keep my eye on things that he does. Just for fun. And that way in the years to come as we have to fix everything he did I can tell people, "I told you so."

I'll be inspired by Rush Limbaugh, the Drudge Report and Free Republic.
